This thing is a beast. Unit arrived looking brand new. I've only ran through about 75 pounds of elk so far. Hopefully it lasts for many years. I will update after I process a few animals.

**Boneguard review**

I have not used bone guard a lot, but it is easy to work with. The perforated sizes tears are just the right size, it adheres to the meat just enough to make it stay in place while placing it in the vac pouches. It is doing just what I was hoping it would do. :-)

**Very Impressive**

Writing this review with less use than 1 oil change... but, let me say, it feels so good to own a machine where you can easily buy replacement parts and oil etc... from the manufacturer. This alone could have sold me on the VAC100. As someone with a background in manufacturing, you know you have a serious supplier when they have maintenance on the front load.

Setup was simple, use was easy. Love the glass lid, seeing product vac seal is so satisfying, and also VERY practical for sealing items containing liquid, or are liquid themselves.

As a single person, the ability to vacuum seal and store food is amazing. I love to cook, but its hard to cut recipes down to one person and justify making them at all... enter the VAC100. Other vacuum sealers are amateurish in comparison, truly.

Given the investment, one would expect this level of detail, customer service, reliability and ease of maintenance. I am so far exceedingly pleased with my experience with JVR and the VAC100.

As a small business owner, the VAC100 checks every box we had for this level of investment and the some! - Size, maintenance, Mylar and liquid capability, jar sealing and attachments for preserving cooking wines, accessories for bulk marinating, the list goes on... back to my point, professional level in every aspect, other countertop vacuum sealers under this price point are amateurish in their capability and longevity.

**Really liking the JVR100**

This is my first chamber style vacuum sealer. My main use case is vacuum backing the fish (walleye and perch) that I catch on Lake Erie. My prior sealer, the food saver struggled with the water that is present with my filets and was kind of acting like it was on its' last leg. I have nothing bad to say about the food saver, but I wore it out and was looking for a step up. The JVR100 works fine with moist items and I also like that the bags are considerably cheaper. I see a lot less air in my bags using the JVR100. I'm now vacuum sealing a lot more stuff like soup, chili, and other left over food since the price point of a bag is similar or possibly less than a ziploc. I've also started keeping the coffee beans for my daily espresso under vacuum in 8oz short wide mouth mason jars. I pop it open, use what I need and reseal on a daily basis and this is working well for me and allows me to buy larger quantities and still keep it fresh. The food saver containers would lose their seal about 50% of the time leading to stale coffee by the time I went through a large bag of coffee beans.

I have just received it and have used it twice, so far it has exceeded expectations, great quality unit.

**Great product**

This is a great product. Very smooth operating, quiet, the seal bar is much better than my vacmaster 215. I understand the customer service is great, but at this point I feel like I’m a long ways from needing service.
