Basic Operation of the Game-Changing Controls, VacSeries
“Conveniently, the controls are compatible with the JVR Vac110-Vac610…“
You haven’t heard the news? We have added some game-changing upgrades to the Vac110, Vac310, Vac410, and Vac610! These changes have been in high demand from our customers for a while – we listened and followed through! All Vac110s, Vac310s, Vac410s, and Vac610s have had hidden capabilities that you can unlock with this new board.
Conveniently, the controls are compatible with the JVR Vac110-Vac610 and can be easily installed! If you are wondering about the operation of the controls after installation, you are in the right place.
Programming Your VacSeries Unit
The SETTINGS button will function as usual, but with an added programmability function! This will work similarly to before, when you want to set the vacuum-seal cycle times. The only difference is that you can now set vacuum-seal cycle times for multiple different products and save them as a program (P0-P9)!
Selecting a Program
1. Press and HOLD settings for 3 seconds.
2. Use the increase and decrease arrows to choose a program (P0-P9). Press settings to select.
The rest is the same!
3. Press settings to set cycle times for the current program.
4. Adjust the individual cycle times using the increase or decrease arrows and settings to move between them – vacuum, gas, sealing, and cooling (red light indicates which you are on).
NOTE: The gas option is only available for Vac310-Vac610 units. If you are using a non-gas model, please just leave these settings at 0.0 seconds.
5. Select settings again to establish the program.
Now that the program is set, you can go back to it anytime using steps 1-2. Keep track of your program settings with the Preset Sleeve, 110-PS (e.g., P0 = Tomahawk steaks, P1 = retort bags, P2 = quart of soup, etc.).
Accessing Manual Pump Mode
Since your vacuum sealer is now accessory capable, the control panel is manufactured with settings to access the manual pump mode for the accessory port.
1. Select an unused program.
2. Program your desired vacuum cycle time. Set seal, cool, and gas for 0.0 as these will not be needed.
2. While the lid is open, press and HOLD the increase arrow to access the manual pump mode. Once the vacuum pump activates, you can release the button.
NOTE: If it begins beeping while holding, simply press the cycle start switch in the back of the chamber near the accessory port. This should reset the board. Try again.
SKIP Function Operation
In the past, you would have had to guess the vacuum-seal times for liquids. If the liquid began to cold boil, you would press STOP, and this would reprogram the whole unit instead of skipping to the seal cycle. The added SKIP function will allow you to move immediately to the sealing cycle after you notice the cold boil occurs. Now, you can eliminate the guessing game when setting a vacuum cycle for liquids.
So how do you access the SKIP function?
Operation: Press and HOLD the decrease arrow. Easy!
