Vac310 Retort Bar Assembly

Part # 310-15R

NOT TO BE USED TO SEAL CHAMBER VACUUM POUCHES

WATCH NOW: Basics of Sealing VacPouch | JVR VacSeries

Vac310 Retort Bar Assembly is one of a kind when it comes to seal bar assemblies for home use. This option is unique compared with our competitors carry this option on their units. We wanted to create units with endless options when it came to sealing. Toolless removal of the retort bar assembly makes for fast changeovers and ease of use!

The retort bar is for sealing heavy mil pouches such as mylar and retort bags. Measuring in at 16″ the Vac310 Retort Bar Assembly provides an exceptional seal width. This gives you the choice to seal one large bag or many smaller bags at a time.  The retort bar is equipped with a 3.5mm heat strip, capable of providing the additional heat and pressure needed for these applications. See the difference in the image above. The heat strip residing in the core of the assembly has a concave manufactured to withstand the heat necessary for sealing these heavy mil bags.

COMPATIBILITY: Vac310 (1-Bar) and Vac310 (2-Bar) Chamber Vacuum Sealer

COMMON USES:

•Seal off mylar pouches

•Seal retort canning pouches

•Close coffee bags

SEAL & COOLING TIME:

7 mil Mylar Bag – SEAL TIME – 2.4 seconds | COOLING TIME – 5.0 seconds
Retort Pouch  SEAL TIME – 2.8 seconds | COOLING TIME – 6.0 seconds

4 METHODS TO ENSURE SEAL INTEGRITY:

1 – MOUTH FOLD

Fold over the pouch mouth leaving about a 2-4 inch clearance. This will prevent moist products from leaving behind residue or debris in the seal area.

2 – PREVENT WRINKLES

Lay pouch flat across seal bar assembly inserting the mouth entirely into the bag clips. If you are working with a low profile product in your pouch, then be certain to fill the void below the product with filler plates.

3 – INSPECT WELD

The seal should have a perfectly continuous crosshatch pattern across the entire mouth of the package. Small blemishes are typically not of concern. Simply use the resistance test to check the strength in that potentially compromised area.

4 – RESISTANCE TEST

Simply tug at the mouth of the pouch to ensure complete adhesion has taken place. If you are unable to rip apart, you have performed a solid weld/seal.
