JVR Industries consistently searches for ways to improve the vacuum packaging experience for our customers. One way we have done this is by providing filler plates for each of our VacSeries chamber vacuum sealers. But has it ever crossed your mind that maybe a little bit more space could be filled in that chamber to make the vacuum cycle even faster? Well, we sure have and we are here to accommodate!
Without further ado, we are excited to introduce the new filler plates that will further expedite the vacuum cycle while still performing the same facilitation for sealing pouches.
Purpose of Filler Plates
Filler plates are essentially blocks to place within the chamber of your vacuum sealer when packaging low-profile products for one of the following two purposes:
1. Expedite the vacuum cycle: For smaller products there is no need to have all that chamber space. Therefore, filler plates take up that extra space, so less air is present for the vacuum to pull. This speeds up the vacuum cycle process.
2. Facilitate the sealing cycle: Filler plates can act to lift low-profile products, so you do not have to purchase longer, more expensive bags to reach the bag clips. Additionally, circular filler plates are available to fill that depression at the base of the chamber so the product will sit evenly for a clean, even seal.
What Makes the New Filler Plates Different?
More Effectively Fills the Chamber Space
Although the original filler plates cut up to 11 seconds from your vacuum cycle time, we found that the shape did not most effectively perform this function compared to what was possible. To accomplish the goal of achieving a faster vacuum cycle more effectively, we changed the shape to match the exact shape of the chamber depending on the layer to maximally fill the space.
A Premium Appearance as a Bonus!
While aesthetics is not the number one priority, we also understand that the purpose of the Vac100 is to serve as specifically a countertop chamber vacuum sealer. Who wouldn’t want acceptable aesthetics as a part of the package? Considering this aspect, we upgraded the color of all the new filler plates to black. This will more appropriately match the modern appearance of the Vac100 to provide a premium appearance!
New Filler Plate Options
Base Form Fitting Filler Plate (100-09D)
The shape is more specific to maneuver around the seal bar plates and accessory port. You will only need one of these as it is specifically shaped to fit at the base of the chamber.
Secondary Form Fitting Plate (100-09E)
The circular plates that hold the seal bar only go so high. So, if you package low-profile products and want to add filler plates to the chamber, these would be the filler plates to purchase. The shape is rectangular with a divot on one corner to form around the accessory port. This is meant to maximally fill the chamber space in addition to the base form fitting plate.
Circular Plate (100-09F)
There will not be changes in the recess of the new Vac100 composite chamber, thus the dimensions of the new circular plate are the same. The purpose is to fill the round depression at the bottom of the chamber to either expedite the vacuum cycle or create an even surface at the bottom of the chamber.
Now, for the Big Question
How much time do these new filler plates save compared to the originals?
With the maximum amount of filler plates used (1 circular, 1 base forming, and 4 secondary forming filler plates) you will save up to 19 seconds during the vacuum cycle. This is compared to 11 seconds using the white rectangular filler plates – you do the math!
Remember that as you add more filler plates, the less the cycle time will be. Either way, these filler plates will expedite your vacuum sealing process due to filling each layer more effectively.
Will the New Filler Plates be Included with the New Vac100 Chamber Vacuum Sealer?
With the release of the new JVR Vac100 design, you might be wondering if the new filler plates are being included when you go to purchase yourself a new chamber vacuum sealer.
The answer is YES! Two out of the three will be included. We believe it is important to offer our customers the highest quality right from the start!

Base Form Fitting Filler Plate: Included (Qty 1)
Secondary Form Fitting Plate: NOT included. These will be available for purchase but are not included in the initial Vac100 purchase so you do not pay for what you may not use.
