Chamber Accessory (3 GALLON), Vac100

WATCH NOW: How To Use Video | JVR Vac100

Vac100 Chamber Accessory is a game changer for any individual looking to vacuum seal mason jars or mass vacuum marinade. Our accessory chamber sets this machine apart from the competition, boasting a full 3 gallon capacity.

Capable of sealing any size mason jar with a two-piece lid. You can even seal multiple jars at the same time!  Additionally, our chamber provides faster vacuum marination of massive quantity! Stunning results show up in a more even distribution of the brine into your favorite protein.

Super easy to use and connect with a pre-attached accessory hose! This pre-attached hose simply hooks up to your Vac100 – chamber vacuum sealer’s accessory port!

To use with your Vac100, you can turn on “PUMP” button to manually engage the vacuum pump.  When the vacuum pump is manually engaged the lid will be open on the Vac100. During this process, instead of evacuating air from the Vac100’s dedicated chamber, you will be evacuating it from the chamber accessory.

**This accessory had some issues – resolved – Review revised**

The first 3Gal chamber accessory I received had some issues. JVR was very prompt in sending me a replacement. I have since revised this review to bump it up to 5 stars. The unit functions perfectly as intended.

The chamber is very sturdy, with a thick plexiglass top that is heavy enough to start holding suction in the chamber without pressing down on it.

At first I was a bit concerned about the way the hose attaches to the Vac100 by pressing it against the accessory port. But in use this setup works pretty well. You can clearly hear air escaping if you are not seating the plastic connector properly (hold it straight up) when starting the vacuum cycle. If you have no tension on the hose, once it has established suction you can even let go, and there will be no leaks at the port. An empty chamber pulls -0.1 Mpa in about 38 secs, and if you close the valve, the chamber holds the vacuum securely.

I purchased this accessory mainly to seal large mason jars with both dry and wet contents. I have recently switched to reusable plastic lids from Tattler, and they seal very reliably, as do the standard Ball metal lids. For marinating or quick pickling, I plan on using another vessel inside, in order to keep the chamber clean and also because of the vertical weld seam.

One of the reasons I chose the Vac100 vs. the Vac110 was because of the availability of this accessory, and I am not disappointed.

    **Awesome Accessory**

This is an incredible accessory and has multiple purposes. First use I marinated a few London broils and worked like a charm! Like everything else at JVR well worth the investment.

**Q:** Can you pull a full vacuum on these? If not, is there a recommended cycle time to use? Also, can these be used for longer term storage, or just for marinating and infusing purposes? Midamar customer from NY asked on June 23, 2024

**A:** Yes, you can pull full vacuum on these. Recommended cycle time is going to change depending on the volume of space that is empty vs how much space the product takes up. View you FOR REFERENCE ONLY vacuum gauge to see where you are on vacuum draw. You could use these for long term storage, in theory, but we would suggest using the VacLok Stainless Steel Canisters, so you can keep this product open for expedited marinating/brining/pickling and sealing your mason jars. We hope this answers your questions. Thanks for choosing JVR Industries as your vacuum packaging supplier.

**Q:** I am trying to decide between the 100 and the 110. ... When sealing jars in the canister, is it possible to "stack" smaller sized jars in a double layer within the canister? And if so, would they require a divider between them or could they be stacked directly on top of each other? Kurtis Gelhar asked on November 17, 2023

**A:** You can not stack mason jars as this will cause the bottom layer of mason jars to not be sealed.

**Q:** Under your "Common Uses" area above, you mention "Vacuum infused cold brew coffee in under 25 minutes", "Use the chamber for sous vide baths when paired with an immersion circulator", "expedited pickling" and lastly "rapid infusion of alcohols, extracts and more." I find these ideas interesting but, frankly, this is so new to me that I'm not sure I understand the why's and how's. It would be EXTREMELY helpful to have some videos available that show these things being done as well as an explanation as to what it's doing and why it's important. Forgive my rookie questions but now that I have the machine, I want to utilize it to its fullest. By the way, I'm extremely happy with the machine so far and can't wait to ramp up my use as I learn. Everyone at your company has been excellent in their assistance over the phone as well as patient. Thank you to everyone for your kindness, professionalism and knowledge. Diana Massengale asked on September 27, 2022

**A:** Good morning from NY! These are great thoughts, concerns and questions. We are planning to release videos on all of these subjects in the upcoming future. We definitely want to help support the end user on how to perform these functions. Keep your eyes open and feel free to subscribe and hit the bell on our youtube to stay posted on when it is released. Thanks again for choosing JVR and glad to hear our machine is serving you well.
