Lid springs still don't work

I purchased the vacseal JVR100 a couple years ago. I did a lot of research before I bought and even called and spoke with Andrew I believe that was his name.
With that being said, my lid wouldn't stay up
after a year or so. I called JVR support and they told me that I would need to change the lid springs. And if I wanted to make them last longer to leave the lid up. Luckily for me I keep the vacseal on a cart. If I kept it on the counter then I would need to keep the lid shut because of the cabinets above. NO BODY told me that before my purchase. Go figure!
I replaced the springs and the lid stays up own its own. But ,, at times when it runs a cycle when it's done the lid should open far enough, then shut off automatically, unless you do it manually. But it will open the lid a bit and keep making a humming noise till you raise the lid a bit more. This is very irritating when you're across the room and you have to runover to stop it.
I will be calling support again. Will keep you posted.
