COMMON USES:

•Seal off mylar pouches

•Seal retort canning pouches

•Close coffee bags

SEAL & COOLING TIME:

7 mil Mylar Bag – SEAL TIME – 2.4 seconds | COOLING TIME – 5.0 seconds
Retort Pouch  SEAL TIME – 2.8 seconds | COOLING TIME – 6.0 seconds

4 METHODS TO ENSURE SEAL INTEGRITY:

1 – MOUTH FOLD

Fold over the pouch mouth leaving about a 2-4 inch clearance. This will prevent moist products from leaving behind residue or debris in the seal area.

2 – PREVENT WRINKLES

Lay pouch flat across seal bar assembly inserting the mouth entirely into the bag clips. If you are working with a low profile product in your pouch, then be certain to fill the void below the product with filler plates.

3 – INSPECT WELD

The seal should have a perfectly continuous crosshatch pattern across the entire mouth of the package. Small blemishes are typically not of concern. Simply use the resistance test to check the strength in that potentially compromised area.

4 – RESISTANCE TEST

Simply tug at the mouth of the pouch to ensure complete adhesion has taken place. If you are unable to rip apart, you have performed a solid weld/seal.

1st use retort

Worked great. I ran my first batch of retorts through the canner and had zero failures!! Overall the vac 110 has worked really well, fast, quiet, and have had zero bag failures. I have used the retort bar, with retort pouches, as well as the regular seal bar with 3, 4, and 5 mil bags. The time listed on a sheet I got off the website has been perfect
